Well, my neck isn't any worse. That's always a good thing. It's not on the bad side, so hopefully it won't decide to get worse. Maybe going to work will even stretch it a bit.

*hangs head* I never did unpack yesterday. Guess that will be part of my morning, huh? Thankfully this is "clinic" day for the boss, so I dont' have to worry about how late I'll be. Though I really do intend to start getting into work before 11, really! The muse is to blame. It kept harrassing me with a transition bunny for camo last night after viewing serenity (the same one I kept getting whenever I'd watched the movie in theaters, no less) so I finally gave in and did it. Not elegant and I need to check that my writing of one of the characters vegges with what I'd written earlier. Siiigh, one of the probs with leaving a WIP hanging that long. Of course, the other prob there is that I've *edited* what I've written so many times it all looks sooooo much more polished than anything new that I write. Really kinda demoralizing there for some reason. Ah well, was a rough draft and late at night. We'll see what happens on it.

Now then to find Jayne gorramit. Really, I get so tired of having to run down the characters for my muse. *pouts*

And in other news, my eating gobs of cocoa hazelnut butter without any milk pills yesterday may have been a horribly tragic mistake. Stay tuned.

Four kings

Four Kings is good and probably one of the best comedy pilots I've seen since Two and a Half Men premiered.

Still, [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster and I have a few comments on how it could be better.

Casting changes: Nathan, Adam, and Alan are Seth's three friends. Obviously, Nathan is the one who gets everything, Adam the former fatty, and Alan the "burned" out one. Sean Maher guests often as their gay friend. Oh, and Jensen Ackles runs the bar that the four hang out at.

*bows before fandom*

I know, we'll be hired as casting directors any day now.

Well, my head gave me some Inara and Jayne snark on the way home. Sadly, it wasn't with them in a scene together or even in Unexpected. Happily, it was in Twin Regrets and gave me an idea of how to do a scene I'd been stuck on...though I kept putting it off for fear of talking heads.

Fortunately, I was talking to [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster and got talked up to go ahead and attempt the scene for the jillionth time. When I opened it, I scrolled down and stopped on the place of Wash's POV scene during reaver fight.

*epiphany*

As PT pointed out, it's a cop out to only use a character's POV just once...so I got to loose myself from the strict limits for which firefly characters I'd use and go ahead and write me some Wash POV. And OMG, does snark comes sooooo much easier from his POV. So much.

*dances*

So now I taunt you with the fact that I've just finished Chapter nine. I need to go through and polish it at least once before I foist it off on grammar and tense nazi [livejournal.com profile] mona1347, but *squee* there'll be update. Umm, definitely before valentine's day barring any catastrophe. :)

*runs away before she gets attacked by the picket signs*

ETA - I made the sacrifice and did my edits this morning. Just wanted to let you all know I'll be late for work just so I could get the draft to mona quicker.
