Well, I finally accomplished laundry yesterday after several near misses. The new laundry card machine does NOT accept our old ones. The new management office nicely bought us new ones and even left a six dollar credit on them....Alas, they informed us with a sign taped to the card machine that was completely useless to anyone who HAD to do laundry on the weekend since the door guard didn't have access to the card stash. *rolls eyes* I love it when stupidity is personified. The machine also really doesn't have straightforward directions. Now, I'm not technology illiterate, frequently teach myself to use new machines at work, but even I had to play poor frazzled dumb blonde while an older woman helped me when I thought the machine ate my 20 and gave me a faulty card. Turns out that you have to put side w/out any writing side up when you want machine to read it. By then I was so frustrated (okay, and I'll admit it, hadn't had anything other than oatmeal and yogurt all day while on a gaming binge. Oh and chocolate chip cookies. yes, I'm a 27 yr old imitating a 12 year old. Fear me), I thought the washing machine charged me 2.50 for a load of laundry because my ability to do basic math is always suspect.

Oh, then the most fun, one of the dryers manages to charge you for laundry without starting if you remove the frakking card too soon!!!!

FRELL!!!@@##!! But it's done now.

I think I figured out what was causing my blue screen of death yesterday. The only program in common with every time it happened was yahoo messenger...which wasn't the normal yahoo messenger since I'd been lured to download verizon's yahoo suite with the promise of free (well, freeish, comes w/ my dsl charges) yahoo music service. Except, the only program in the verizon yahoo suite that isn't buggy is the MS explorer. Had previously uninstalled the the musiclaunch software and apparently the most recent defrag had done something to the messenger software. So uninstalled and reinstalled normal messenger and oh look, stable running again and my computer isn't running like a 486 for the first time in a month!!

Moral of the story: NEVER EVER EVER INSTALL FIRST GENERATION SHAREWARE SOFTWARE.

Other conclusions of yesterday/last week: lots of chocolate chip cookies make me VERY achy. Joint/muscle, you name it. I've always known this and attribute it to too much sugar combined w/ the fact that sugar cane is in fact a close cousin of corn (true story). However, I'd been eating jars of hazelnut cocoa butter w/ no problem and so had developed a nice healthy fat craving...but figured I needed to wean myself off of it and that cookies would be more ... filling.

Except they make me hurt. And the hazelnut cocoa butter for whatever reason doesn't (despite its 300 calories per tablespoon. And dude, I never eat just a tablespoon).

So I'm back to my hazelnut cocoa addiction (and hoping TJs doesn't stop carrying it without warning), less pain, and constantly telling myself I need to WORK OUT if I'm not going to balloon in my waist area as my genetics predisposes me to do. True story---it will be the only place I'll gain it. Not my butt (which could use it) nor any other area that could use it, but my waist. Both sides of my family have this, I know it's a predisposition to TII diabetes, and I have no explanation why only one member of my family has developed TII diabetes. All I can say is maybe my grandmother is right and bacon fat is good for you:P

So today's goals: resist the call of the original ratchet and clank game that B got me (Though the most recent new one is my personal favorite because there's much less pressure to accumulate money), clean apt enough to be able to do workout, workout, and then shred old bills while I watch the steelers game.

I'm purposely being bad and not going to work. I know I did something stupid on friday and just hope the cells survive it till tomorrow because I just can't deal w/ going. I think the tortillas (plus the cookies) were causing me to go allergy induced depression because I have no explanation for why I felt so sick on friday followed w/ feeling fine by not eating anything but being pretty depressed. And now being perfectly fine again. It all points to the allergies. And hopefully it was the tortillas and not the salsa. I like the salsa dammit!! *pouts*

Oh, and I need to cook the chicken breasts that expire today because I've wasted about 20 bucks on meat since I've gotten back to philly that I've let go bad instead of cook. In my defense, my apt is a sauna. But I"m lazy and I know it.

Oh, and I spoiled myself silly for the next 4 or 5 epis of BSG. All I can say is you can blame me for the bad premises as apparently my being able to watch taped shows has cursed the writers. Oh well, that just means I can quit torturing B's VCR and go back to pleasurable leather Farscape viewing. 3 episodes that I dislike out of 4 seasons worth, now that's my kind of TV.

The WB Tuesday is going to be a rerun this week.

Why did they taunt us with new epis if they weren't going to give us more than one at a time????

Frak me!!!!!!

Get my computer working half way decent and of course something else has to go wrong. Something is seriously frelled with my mp3 player. every time I plug it in to charge, it turns on. Excpet I didn't realize that, uplugged it and thought the little dell flash would go off like normal so the battery has run all the way down.

but it keeps turning on when i plug it in!!! and it can't charge that way.

I think I got it off. Hopefully it's charging. I'll check in an hour or so I guess.

frak me.
