It's done. 1/3 of my stories due for sweet charity. I won't even mention how late. I'll only say that I don't feel as bad owing PT still from the first sweet charity since she still owes me too. Still, it's embarrassing that Twin Regrets is still in progress given that I know how it ends (and have the beginnings of a draft of a sequel). Me and the frog need to have a serious talk about his follow through. At least with Camouflage (and other lingering unfinished fics that are gasping on life support), I had the excuse that I didn't know what would happen next.
Need to do some farscape and firefly watching. Hopefully I can recapture that voice. I do not recommend anyone ever try changing POV and tense within the same fic. It's maddening and pretty much ruins you for writing anything else unless you have a very very patient beta. Though I have gotten better at noticing my tense mistakes due to it...not passive voice mind you since I think and work in that so much due to science, but hey, tenses are progress. (this is not to say that I'm grammatically impaired as it may appear from my stream of consciousness blogging. I actually have a very good natural ear for grammar. It just gets more difficult when you read what you mean instead of what you wrote. Which is why I love my betas so much. Especially grammar nazi *grins*).
Okay, time to hurry off to bed.
